Presenter credentials

Your practice files with Companies House under its own presenter account. Fyling is the software you use to prepare and send the filing. We do not file for you.

What they are

A presenter ID is the number that identifies your practice to Companies House. The authentication value is the secret that goes with it, like a password. Together they show Companies House that a submission comes from your practice.

Where to find them

Companies House issues them when your practice has a presenter account. Manage the account, and look up or reset your details, with Companies House directly. For testing, Companies House issues separate test credentials on request.

Why Fyling asks for them

Every submission to Companies House has to carry them. Without them we cannot send what you have prepared.

How they are kept

Both values are encrypted before they are stored. After you save them, Fyling never shows them again. You will see a masked label such as saved ••••1234, which only tells you something is saved. To change them, enter new ones.

Only practice owners can add or change presenter credentials.

Test and live

You can keep test and live credentials separately. Test submissions go to the Companies House test service and do not file anything for real.
