Registered office and SAIL address
AD01, AD02, AD03, AD04
Move a company's registered office, or set up a single alternative inspection location (SAIL) and say which records are kept there. Fyling prepares the form from the company's record and your practice submits it.
What it does for your practice
- The current address comes from the company's record, so you enter only the new one.
- Covers the registered office, the SAIL address and moving records to and from it.
- Required fields are checked before the form can be submitted.
- Every submission is written to your practice's activity log.
How it works
- 1
Open the company and choose the address change.
- 2
Enter the new address, or the SAIL address and the records kept there.
- 3
Review the form and submit it under your practice's presenter account.
Who it is for
Practices that provide a registered office service, or move client companies between addresses, and want each change on record.
Your practice stays the filer. Fyling is the software your team uses to prepare, check and send the work.
Questions
What is a SAIL address?
A single alternative inspection location: another address where a company keeps some of its registers for inspection instead of at its registered office.
Who submits the filing?
Your practice does, under its own Companies House presenter account. Fyling prepares the filing, sends it with your credentials and shows you the answer Companies House gives.
What happens if Companies House rejects it?
The filing shows as rejected with the reason Companies House gave, in plain words beside the code, so you can correct it and send it again.
