Confirmation statements

CS01

Fyling starts every confirmation statement from what Companies House already holds for the company: officers, people with significant control, shareholders, share capital and SIC codes. You confirm or correct each section, and your practice submits it under its own presenter account.

What it does for your practice

  • Little to retype: each section starts from the company's public record.
  • A link asks the client whether anything has changed, and records their answer.
  • One season view of every client's statement, with several submitted in one go when they are ready.
  • Each section is checked before the statement can be submitted.
  • Every submission and change is written to your practice's activity log.

How it works

  1. 1

Open the company. Fyling reads its officers, people with significant control, shareholders and SIC codes from Companies House.

  2. 2

Send the client a link asking whether anything has changed at the company.

  3. 3

Confirm or correct each section, answer the trading and lawful purpose statements, and add any identity verification details.

  4. 4

Review the whole statement on one page. Your practice's reviewer and client-approval settings are checked here.

  5. 5

Submit it under your practice's presenter account. Companies House's answer appears on the company.

Who it is for

Practices that file confirmation statements for many client companies and want each one prepared from the register, checked and kept on record, rather than retyped on the Companies House website.

Your practice stays the filer. Fyling is the software your team uses to prepare, check and send the work.

Questions

Does it need the company's authentication code?

Yes. You enter it once per company, or ask the client for it through a secure link. It is stored encrypted and never shown again.

Who submits the filing?

Your practice does, under its own Companies House presenter account. Fyling prepares the filing, sends it with your credentials and shows you the answer Companies House gives.

What happens if Companies House rejects it?

The filing shows as rejected with the reason Companies House gave, in plain words beside the code, so you can correct it and send it again.

Can I file several confirmation statements at once?

Yes. The confirmation statement season view lists every client's statement, and the ones that are ready can be submitted together.
