Company name change

NM01

When a client company changes its name by special resolution, Fyling prepares the notice from the company's record. Your practice checks the new name and the resolution date, then submits it.

What it does for your practice

  • The current name and number come from the company's record.
  • The new name and resolution date are checked before the notice can be submitted.
  • Once Companies House accepts, the company in Fyling shows its new name.
  • Every submission is written to your practice's activity log.

How it works

  1. 1

Open the company and choose change of name.

  2. 2

Enter the new name and the date of the special resolution.

  3. 3

Review the notice and submit it under your practice's presenter account.

Who it is for

Practices whose clients rebrand or restructure and change their company name.

Your practice stays the filer. Fyling is the software your team uses to prepare, check and send the work.

Questions

Who submits the filing?

Your practice does, under its own Companies House presenter account. Fyling prepares the filing, sends it with your credentials and shows you the answer Companies House gives.

What happens if Companies House rejects it?

The filing shows as rejected with the reason Companies House gave, in plain words beside the code, so you can correct it and send it again.
