Statutory accounts

Enter or import the trial balance and Fyling maps it to the balance sheet and profit and loss for the company's size: micro-entity (FRS 105), small (FRS 102 section 1A, full or abridged) or dormant. Your practice reviews and approves the accounts, then submits them to Companies House as iXBRL.

What it does for your practice

  • Every statement line shows which trial balance lines feed it.
  • Micro-entity, small and dormant layouts, with the right notes and statements.
  • A review and approval step comes before anything is sent.
  • The approved accounts carry through to the Corporation Tax return.
  • Accounts are kept with the company, period by period.

How it works

  1. 1

Choose the accounting period. Fyling knows it from the company's record.

  2. 2

Enter the trial balance, or bring it in from the client's connected accounting software.

  3. 3

Check the mapping to the balance sheet and profit and loss, and the notes.

  4. 4

Review and approve the accounts. Your practice's reviewer and client-approval settings are checked here.

  5. 5

Submit them to Companies House under your practice's presenter account.

Who it is for

Practices that prepare year-end accounts for small owner-managed companies and dormant companies.

Your practice stays the filer. Fyling is the software your team uses to prepare, check and send the work.

Questions

Which accounts can I prepare?

Micro-entity accounts under FRS 105, small company accounts under FRS 102 section 1A (full or abridged), and dormant company accounts.

Can I check the figures?

Yes. Every statement line shows the trial balance lines that feed it.

Who submits the filing?

Your practice does, under its own Companies House presenter account. Fyling prepares the filing, sends it with your credentials and shows you the answer Companies House gives.

Do the accounts feed the tax return?

Yes. Once approved, their figures fill in the Corporation Tax return for the same period.
